The Cervical Relaxation Hammock
What is cervical traction?
A very effective method where a gentle distracting force is applied to relieve neck pain in people with arthritis, herniated discs and/or swollen discs, strains and spasms of the cervical muscles.

What does traction do to your neck?
Cervical traction works by gently pulling the head away from the neck in the natural direction. In doing so:

The muscles along the spinal column begin to relax and gradually stretch, as do the ligaments around the spine.

The intervertebral space widens and causes more blood to flow to the areas that were compressed, allowing for good circulation and better nutrition.

This helps oxygenate muscles, nerves, tendons and ligaments, resulting in less pain and increased mobility.

Why is Necku different?
For a long time, it was only possible to benefit from cervical traction in a professional's office. But these visits often have to be planned well in advance, are quite long and above all expensive.

Today, there are many cervical traction devices available, but most are complex, inconvenient, expensive and potentially dangerous if misused.

We wanted a tool that was easy to use, compact and affordable. We wanted a tool that could be used in the comfort of our own home, with no risk of injury and that would provide the patient with ultimate relaxation and effective pain relief.

That's how our hammock was born!

Can your hammock replace my physiotherapist?
Although our hammock provides similar benefits, we do not claim to replace competent professionals. Rather, we position ourselves as a good complement, affordable and easy to fit into your schedule.

In addition, it is an excellent tool to relax, and that is beneficial for everyone, even those who are not in pain.

As we like to say, osteoarthritis of the neck won't be cured, but we can help you forget about it for a while.

Can everyone use your hammock?
We cannot answer in the place of competent professionals. In case of doubt, the best would be to ask directly to your physiotherapist...

That said, in general, there are no specific contraindications. If you can lie on your back with your head on a pillow for 15 minutes, then the use of our hammock will relax you and certainly relieve you.

If the neck hammock works on my symptoms, will I have to use it for life?
The analogy we like to use is stretching. If you are as flexible as a broomstick and stretch once, you will get immediate muscle relief and a slight gain in mobility. But if you don't maintain some sort of regular routine, your muscles will become tense again and you'll soon be the same broomstick as before.

The neck hammock is a fantastic maintenance tool that helps promote spinal hygiene and joint mobility. This is what makes it an effective long-term solution to your neck pain and tension headaches. The frequency and duration of use really depends on each individual. As you become more mobile, you will need to use it less and less.

That said, each use is a very pleasant moment of relaxation, and if you get used to it, you will find it hard to do without it ;).

What's the hammock made of?
Our hammock is cut from sweat-resistant materials that are completely harmless to skin and hair.

The traction rope is an assembly of a multitude of braided micro-elastics, inspired by the ropes used for bungee jumping. This system allows us to deliver a traction that is always adapted.

The entire system is designed to support up to 5 times the average weight of a human head to guarantee your safety.

How far should the top of your head be from the wall/door to which the neck hammock is attached?
There are no precise measurements to be respected since each user is different. The anteflexion angle is defined by the height of the attachment point and the distance along the horizontal axis from it. The hammock is developed so that once installed in a comfortable position with the head "floating", the angle is between 20° and 45°. In simpler words, when lying on the floor, your head should be slightly tilted (higher than your body).

A good rule of thumb is to make sure that once fixed, the hammock is close to the ground without touching it (about 10 centimetres).

Then, you should lie down far enough away from the point of attachment to tighten the elastic so that the system pulls your head back very slightly and keeps it in the air.

For more traction, move away. For less traction, move closer.

Listen to your body and do what relaxes you best ;)

How often should I use the hammock?
That depends mainly on you. We recommend that you start at 10 minutes in one go and adjust from there.

If your neck is in poor condition, you may need to use it 2-3 times a day for up to 15 minutes per session (allow at least 4 hours between sessions and a strict maximum of 15 minutes per session). As the pain or discomfort decreases, you can also reduce the frequency and duration of stretching.

If the 15-minute duration gives you headaches, dizziness, nausea, or back pain, try to shorten your sessions and place the central pad more towards the middle of your neck.

Should the central pad be positioned in the middle of the neck or at the base of the skull?
It depends on your body, as your neck will have a preferred position. We recommend that you try both (placing the pad at the back of the head/base of the skull or in the middle of the neck) and do what you feel is best and most comfortable.

For example, if you know that you text a lot or usually do things that keep your head in a tilted position for long periods of time, your neck probably needs to restore its natural "C-curve". Placing the middle pad towards the middle of the neck will help restore this natural curve.

On the other hand, if you have a desk job, travel a lot, or sit all day, you'll probably benefit more from the neck hammock by placing the centre pad under the base of your skull to promote traction.

How long does it take for me to be delivered?
We always do our utmost to process orders so that every customer can be delivered within :

UK and EU member countries: 3-8 working days
USA/Canada/Australia/Hong Kong: 5-10 working days
Other Countries: 10-20 working days
Isolated territories: 15-25 working days
These deadlines are after dispatch (24-48 working hours). Unfortunately, we have no control over local carriers who can sometimes be late with your delivery.

How much does delivery cost?
It may be offered during a promotion. However, under normal circumstances, we normally charge you a very low flat-rate fee, regardless of the number of items and the country of destination. Take the opportunity to order several ;)

When you place your order, you have two choices of delivery method:

Standard Delivery
Tracked Delivery + 30-Day Delivery Insurance

What is the difference between the two delivery methods?
By default, Standard Delivery is selected. By choosing this option, you do not have the possibility to track your package. Also, we will not take responsibility for any delay in your delivery, if it is not our fault.

By choosing the option Tracked Delivery + 30 days delivery insurance, you have the possibility to track your package. Also, if for any reason (Loss of the package, Carrier Strike, Natural Catastrophe, Delay due to Santa Claus, etc...) your package is not delivered within 30 working days, you can request a refund or a new shipment, even if your order arrives on the 31st day.

This delay starts the day after the day of your order. For isolated territories the delay is extended to 45 working days.

Which territories are considered isolated?
These are territories for which the international mail system is not optimized. This concerns the vast majority of island states.

Do not hesitate to ask us if you have any doubt about your delivery address.

How do I track my package?
You can track your package using your order number and e-mail address by going to the "Track my order" section on our website.

Will I have to pay import fees?
Our products are mainly distributed in Asia (Japan, South Korea, ...) and in the European Union (France, Belgium, …) and now UK. For economical and practical reasons, they are shipped from our order processing centre in China.

Orders are shipped DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid). As a result, your order may be subject to local taxes and import duties, which are imposed by your local customs office or the carrier that delivers to you. We are not able to calculate the exact amount. This rarely happens, but if this happens, please send us the invoice, we will cover these costs for you.
